Dear Sei-ren friends,
We’re sad to share that Margaret's Sin won’t be on Steam. As many of you know from our recent posts (linked below), we fought hard against Steam’s decision to ban our game after a second review (support case: HT-Q3B9-775B-3BKR). Despite our efforts, Steam upheld the ban, saying they don’t accept modified versions of previously rejected games. This hit us hard—Steam is the biggest platform for game sales, and we lost a lot of money trying to stand out and connect with you, our players.
Our main goal with Margaret's Sin was to raise funds for future projects. We poured our hearts into making a high-quality game with voice acting, lots of scenes, a great story, and a unique style. We have big dreams and want to create more games with the same passion. Margaret's Sin was meant to be the first step, just the beginning.
We invested so much that the success of this game will decide if we can keep making games. That’s why we’re asking for your support to keep going!
Today’s the big day—Margaret's Sin is officially out! You can now find it on itch.io, Boosty, and Patreon, thanks to the amazing help from the Alcyone_legends team. They supported us for free, and we’re incredibly grateful for their kindness and dedication.
This release is a huge milestone, especially after all the challenges we faced.

Hi! Sorry I'm kind of confused. Is the game fully out, and as long as we contribute to the goal, we can play it in full? Or is the goal for when it's fully out? The demo is so gorgeous btw <3
Hi! Recently replied about the release ( yes, the game is out and you can see the download files at 15% discount ), please consider this:
The game is intentionally short, and we're upfront about it. Sessions typically last 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, which is why the demo is only 10-15 minutes-to let people know about that intention. Despite its length, it features over 10 sex scenes, most with player choices. The corruption mechanic unfolds through Margaret's story, as she becomes more confident in her sensuality and explores new intimate experiences with the main character. The game offers three endings.
And the attached goal at the top - it shows the total project fees, so far, we have not collected even half of the funds spent on the project, but we are very much happy to give and attention ( even realizing that it is not steam )
I am sorry about Steam, really don't understand their policies (there are real worse games than this one and doesn't move a single finger).
Little rant over, I will continue following this project with illusion and wish you the best.
I can't understand why they even offer an appeal policy if they refuse to re-evaluate a game that has been modified to remove any "offending" content that it was initially flagged for. In what way does that foster goodwill? If anything it just pushes people to seek out ways to circumvent steam's policies entirely and creates an atmosphere that rewards bad actors.
Most likely we've fallen for such a strange moderator. But other moderators ( and on the second attempt ) did not give us a chance to change anything and work with this project....
I have been unbelievably excited about this game. The art style is what drew me in. I hope you collaborate with this artist in the future. Take my money!
